Manor Lodge is one of Nottinghamshire's hidden jewels being a piece of early architecture by Robert Smythson who went on to design Longleat, Hardwick and Wollaton Hall, Nottingham.

The Lodge has a dramatic façade and casts a formidable silhouhette against the rural sky.
Manor Lodge stands in eleven and a half acres of land two miles to the west of Worksop, in open countryside where the three counties of Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire meet. It is half a mile from the A50 ,which gives easy access to the Ml at Junction 30 and the Al, making the property easily accessible from all over the country.
DESCRIPTION
Manor Lodge was built in the 1590s by the architect Robert Smythson for the Earl of Shrewsbury. A detailed history of the property by the architectural historian Mark Girouard follows. The house is Grade I Listed.
